Congratulations, Melissa and Ricky! I was so honored to capture maternity portraits of this gorgeous couple on the verge of first-time parenthood along with their pup, Hazelnut. This is my sister, Jennifer, and we took these photos at almost 34 weeks at her home in Dublin. On this particular day, the new crib arrived and we got a glimpse of what Lewis's baby sister's room would look like. Jen, you look so effortlessly beautiful and baby girl will be so lucky to have you and Josh as her parents!

At 35 weeks pregnant, Sonnie is glowing! She, along with her husband, Vito and their incredible 3 year old son, Xander visited San Francisco's Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park for a maternity photo shoot on a nice, typical cloudy day. The sun did sneak out once or twice as we strolled around the beautiful island, and we had a great time. Lots of love here! Congratulations, Sonnie & Vito on your growing family!
I had the privilege of spending a few hours with these nearly two week old identical twin sisters and their parents, Melissa and Ian. This is such a beautiful family, and I absolutely loved holding these little girls and spending time with their vibrant mom and dad. Being a mom myself, it's incredible to realize how fast babies grow up -- it's only been two years, but today, the memories came flooding back of sleepy afternoons, milk, diapers, and tiny noises from tiny humans (that stay put when you put them down).

I had the incredible honor of contributing to this family's story. Months ago, I was invited to capture a portrait of Shea and Noriyko, beautiful mommies to 3-year-old Z, with the intention of providing a photo that would serve as the last piece in a storybook to be prepared for the birth mother of their newest family member. Alongside Shea & Noriyko's incredible family history, this is the photo that helped to win over a birth mother's heart. Little did we know that 13 days after a designer assembled the portfolio, these two women would be paired as mommies to baby T.
These two photo shoots are a source of incredible pride for me personally, because it not only shows the beautiful family they are on the outside, but helped to tell the intimate story behind the faces. Ultimately, this is why I love doing what I do -- to help families grow.
Meeting baby T was such a privilege. We met on her first day home at 1 month old, and here are the results. Thank you, Shea & Noriyko!
